Does JoGoApp consume battery? Does JoGoApp need to be on to track activity?

JoGoApp is fully battery optimized. It doesn’t use GPS or any other power guzzling feature.

JoGoApp auto tracks activity if JoGoApp is in background or foreground even without internet connectivity. It is however, unable to accurately auto-record activity if JoGoApp is exited/killed. To get best results, pls. keep JoGoApp in background & the phone in your pant pocket, hand or in an arm band. Don’t worry, it will not guzzle your battery. Its fully battery optimised. To view activity added, get to an internet zone & launch app, within 10 seconds, you will get a pop up telling you your distance clocked & other metrics. If the pop up doesn’t come up automatically, pls. tap on sync button on right corner of home screen. For day, week, month, year, lifetime views, pls. access Add SweetSweats by- Share & Inspire section.

How is activity data calculated in JoGoApp?

JoGoApp auto tracks activities like walk, run, cycle, climb real-time, with or without internet connectivity. To view activity added, get to an internet zone & launch app, within 10 seconds, you will get a pop up telling you your distance clocked & other metrics. If the pop up doesn’t come up automatically, pls. tap on sync button on right corner of home screen.

To get best results, pls. keep your smartphone in your pant pocket, in hand or in an arm band if running or jogging. Pls. note, JoGoApp relies on the sensors of the smartphone to detect activity, hence activity points may be missed, resulting in under-reporting, if smartphone is static & lying in a bag, while you may be walking.

In general, the following rule is used to calculate activity data: 1250 steps = 1km = 50 calories = 50 SweetSweats.

My activity data is incorrect.

Activity data comes directly from your connected tracking app. We use it as is to calculate SweetSweat. In case we do not get active calorie burn from your connected app, we use a rule of 1km = 50 calories = 50 SweetSweats. In case you do face an issue, pls. email your specific issue details to contact@thenewu.in

How often does the connected app sync data with JoGoApp?

If connected to JoGo Tracker or Apple Health activity data is recorded nearly real-time.
If connected to Google Fit, data may sync with a lag & in batches, sometimes mis-leading one to doubt authenticity of data, however data will come in from Google Fit, usually within 15 mts post activity, though at times it may take upto 24hrs.
To see results after a rigorous activity like a run/jog/cycle, better to check status after 15-30mts, since app may take that much time to collect all data picked by sensors before displaying it; else results may appear in batches, mis-leading one to doubt authenticity of data.
If unable to see data, please tap on sync button on home screen.

I am connected to Apple HealthKit but not getting data?

This could be happening for following reasons:

1. Apple HealthKit only works on iPhone 5S & iOS 8 above, since older models lack the sensors needed for detecting activity.
– In case you have older versions of iPhone, please avail great discounts on JoGoApp to get a new iPhone.

2. Please check if you are getting data in Apple HealthKit.
– JoGoApp reads data from HealthKit, thus if data is not being tracked in HealthKit, it will not update in JoGoApp.

3. Please verify if you are connected to Apple HealthKit & re-connect HealthKit in the Connect App Screen. In case you are stuck, refer to Tutorial: https://youtu.be/oCGtq2tijEk

Activity Data is not/has stopped coming into my JoGoApp Android.

At times, activity data may stop syncing into your JoGoApp Android. Logout (via Account– Profile screen) & Login again & data will get synced. This is usually observed in Chinese manufactured devices &/or when device has been lying dormant for a long period.

Why does data come in batches/lags in JoGoApp?

JoGoApp relies on the sensors of the smartphone to detect & record activity. At times all activity data is not collected from sensors at one go, hence one may observe data coming in with a lag & in batches, misleading one to doubt authenticity of data. This is usually observed post a rigorous activity like a run/jog/cycling session. However all activity data syncs in usually within 15mts, though it can take upto 24hrs in few cases.

How are SweetSweats calculated?

One SweetSweat is equal to one calorie burnt. Calorie burn is retrieved from your connected tracking app. In case we do not get calorie burn from your connected app, we use a rule of 1km = 50 calories = 50 SweetSweats.

My SweetSweats got deducted when I redeemed coupon/deal, even though I didn’t actually use the code at checkout or even place my order?

SweetSweat gets deducted as soon as you tap on ‘Redeem’. Our partner merchants do not share real time data with us on successfully processed transactions & redemptions on their platform, an industry norm, hence we are unable to use that information to reconcile a SweetSweat account.

Can I re-use coupon code?

Some coupons are re-usable. Items with reusable coupons will continue to appear under respective categories as before. Codes of redeemed coupons can be accessed anytime via Account-Redeemed screen.
